Gentle Lu, the New Zea-land-owned mare which raced with distinction in Australia, will leave Sydney tomorrow on her return home. She is due in the Wanganella on Tuesday. Gentle Lu is returning certified in foal to Rego, the English-bred sire of the fine mare Wiggle. Her colt foal of last year has been weaned and left at the Brooklyn Lodge Stud, in Aberdeen. New South Wales. Owned by her breeder, Mr L. W Davis, of Ngarua, near Te Aro-ha. Gentle Lu was the winner of £16,147. enjoying considerable success while in T. F. and R. C. Verner’s stable at Takanini and continuing in fine form when taken over by M. F. Anderson at Rosehill.
