NORTHCOTE BUS SERVICE
Council To Widen Cavendish Road
Provision will be made in the Papanui riding estimates by the Waimairi County Council this year for the widening of Cavendish road, Northcote. The general manager of the Christchurch Transport Board (Mr J. F. Fardell) has advised the council that his board will be prepared to extend the Northcote service along Cavendish road providing the road is widened between Northcote road and Veitchs road. He had gone into the matter fully, and was pleased to report that the bus service would be extended very soon. Cr. W. T. Rice told a meeting of the council last evening.
