Man From Space
(N.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copgrtght) NEW YORK, May 16.
America's first spaceman, Commander Alan Shepard, took his sense of humour with him on his 5000 miles an hour flight into space 10 days ago, according to the “Reporter” magazine today.
The magazine said: "Somehow our hearts were lifted up by words he (Shepard) is reputed to have addressed to the helicopter pilot who fished him out of the sea. Take me to your leader.’ said the man from outer space.”
