HURUNUI SEAT
Seven Seeking Nomination
Seven men are seeking nomination as the National Party’s candidate for the Hurunui seat. Three of them have contested General Elections. The nominees will appear before an electorate selection committee at Rangiora next Tuesday. The nominations are:— Mr H. L. Pickering, a farmer at Motunau, who contested the Avon seat in the last election. Mr D F. Quigley, a farmer at Wai para, who contested the Sydenham seat in the last election. Mr W. F. Ashe, who farms properties at Flaxton and Okuku and contested the former Kaiapoi seat about 22 years ago. Mr C. N. McKenzie, a farmer at Motunau. Mr W. M. Dailey, a farmer at Oxford. Mr W. W. Wood, a land agent and bookshop proprietor at Rangiora. Mr J. A. G. Fulton, a farmer, at Loburn.
