Loan Shows “Confidence” (N Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) . SYDNEY, May 1. Tire Secretary to the Treasury (Sir Roland Wilson) said today that the recent £7Bm loan to Australia from the International Monetary Fund showed “great confidence” in the Australian economy. Sir Roland Wilson said: “The fact that Australia got £7Bm shows the opinion of the board towards Australia’s economy ” “The loan also shows the board’* confidence in the way our economy Is going generally and in the way our Government is handling its economic policy."
