Rifle Shooting FLEMING TROPHY
I. R. Ballinger Wins Event The Canterbury Rifle Association held its first shoot for a trophy presented by Major C. K. Fleming at West Melton at the week-end. The competition, which is open to all clubs in Canterbury —the club champion and the runner-up competes—was won by I. H. Ballinger (Sydenham), who shot 144 out of a possible 150. J. F. Girvan (Ashburton) was second on a count-back from N. Davidson (Christchurch) into third place R. E Taylor (Christchurch) scored the only possible at 500 yards. Scores:—
