Restaurant Licensing

The issuing of regulations under the Licensing Amendment Act, 1960, was delayed because the Government was considering whether there should be a limit of 10 restaurant licences for the whole of New Zealand or whether the number of licences should be at the discretion of the Licensing Commission, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said in reply to questions at his press conference tonight.
