Lawn Tennis EASTERN ZONE OF DAVIS CUP
N.Z. May Enter A Team (NJt. Pres, Association) WELLINGTON, April 27. A meeting of the national council of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association last evening recommended to the management committee that it investigate the possibility and desirability of entering a team in the eastern zone of the 1962 Davis Cup tie. The Canterbury delegate. Mr W. D. Rawlings, said that the eastern zone would be an
easier draw, and it was quite conceivable that New Zealand would enter the final. "According to press reports, the final could well be played in New Zealand, and this would prove a great fillip to tennis generally, and also be a great financial boost." Mr Rawlings said.
