RESERVE RATIOS
Increases Made (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 13. Deposits of trading banks with the Reserve Bank are increased by an announcement in tonight’s Gazette. The new reserve ratios are 21 per cent, of demand liabilities and 10 per cent of time liabilities. The previous ratios, fixed on March 30, were IS and 10 respectively. On March 2 they were 20 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively, and before that 36 per cent and 10 per cent A Reserve Bank spokesman said tonight that the changing of the reserves at this time was routine.
