Shopping Centre
As well as catering for the local residents, shops in Kaiapoi do a large volume of trade with persons from the surrounding country districts and the town, with unrestricted parking along the main street, is growing In popularity with travellers to and from points further north. Businessmen claim an increasing number of farmers are stopping and shopping when returning to North Canterbury areas following Addington sales and this they attribute to the ease of parking and the comparative compactness of the shopping centre.
