Board’s Secretary Denies Report iNZ Press Association) WANGANUI, March 22. A report that the Wanganui - Rangitikei Electric Power Board yesterday awarded an insurance company a contract for the board’s business after it had been allowed to reduce its tender to compete with another firm was denied today by the board's secretary (Mr G. A. Ammundsen). “A motion that this firm’s tender be accepted was. in fact, rejected by nine votes to three.” he said. “One tenderer did lower his firm’s tender price, when the firms were asked whether they would accept only a portion of the business, but this was not accepted.” Mr Ammundsen said the board’s insurance business was divided among three tenderers, the lowest in each class. 5s
