TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD
Mrs J. Fowler presided at the recent annual meeting of the Riccarton Townswomen's Guild. She welcomed Mrs C. Ironside, of the Dominion executive. Officers elected were:— President, Mrs J. Fowler; secretary. Mrs H. Weatherhead; treasurer, Mrs G. Sansom: committee. Mesdames A Black, P. Edgington, M. Fisher, C. Holmes. M. Jacques, H. Powell. S. Patrick, C. Ross. F. Westgarth; circle leaders, Mrs F. Westgarth (arts and crafts). Mesdames V. Brundall and C. Holmes (garden circle), Mrs M. Jacques (civics). Mrs A Rodger (choir), Mrs I. Anderson (pianist). Competition winners for the year were:—Best bloom. Mrs M Fisher 1, Mrs H. Powell 2. Cooking. Mrs I. Duns. Made article. Mrs A. Black.
