ATHLETICS Second Day Of Boys’ Inter-School Sports

R. R. Black, of Christ s College, easily won the senior long jump with 21ft 7£in at the second preliminary meeting of the inter-secondary schools* athletic sports at Rugby Park yesterday. Black fell back in his winning jump and thio probablycost him the record of 21ft Ilin.

In the under 14 section R. Stevenson (Bumside High School) recorded a best performance of 11.5 in the 100 yards. Stevenson ran the last leg of the relay and impressed with his strong running. He was well behind at the change, but he quickly passed the field and won by 10 yards. Abbreviations in the results are:— Christ’s College.
