Cocker Spaniel dub There were 36 entries in a ribbon parade held by the Canterbury Cocker Spaniel Club at the home <rf Mr and Mrs A. M. Cooke, Jocelyn street, Papantii, with exhibitors coming from Ashburton and Geraldine. The judge was Mr J. A. Berland. Results were:— Special Awards.—Best puppy: Miss M. Barker (Geraldine).; Best novice: Mrs Joseph s Lady Linda of the Doones. Best non breeder: Mr A. H. Parkin’s Cameron Rip (Ashburton). Best open: Mr T. H. Hodge's Rossmount Black Robin. Best child handler: Barbara Clark. Best limit and best on parade: Miss M. Barker’s Sunset of Inverloch (Geraldine). Dog Classes.—Puppy (under 12 months): Miss M. Barker 1. Mrs D. Sutton 2. The New Zealand Horse I Society's team in Australia has already scored four firsts, two' seconds, a third, and a fourth j at three meetings. Pot Luck, ridden by his owner. P. Templeton, of Palmerston North, was the only New Zealand horse to start at Castle Hills on March 11, > winning the A grade, tabla A event At Camden on March M the New Zealand horse* Revenue, ridden by Mias J. Dolby, of Walpukurau, and Treason, ridden by C. Mould, of Dunedin, were second and third in the table A. On March 18 New Zealand's favourite horse. Lsndrover,. ridden by I. Uprltchard. ot Cheviot, was first in the table A and Revenue fourth. At Warwick Farm on March 19 New Zealand scored again in the main table A event. Treason being first and Revenue second.
