Delarmo Does Well “The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN, March 21. Delarmo. Sir Edwin, Meridian, Paper Clip and Cassius were five of the most impressive jumpers at Wingatui this morning when the work was held under ideal conditions. Moat of the schooling was held over the steeplechase fences on the coarse proper. Without exception the jumping was of a high standard and there were no casualties. Starting at the brush at the foot of the straight the jumpers continued over the sod wall, post and rails, sod wall, board fence and water jump and completed the school over the first fence. In the fastest round of the morning. Sir Edwin IR. O Cadrasi and Meridian <R. A. Low), finished clear of Montrose <B N. Blair) and Mananui (B. P. Kennedy), with Renway (T. McCutcheon) eased up over the final stages. From the first fence to the winning post Sir Edwin and Meridian took 3min 20sec. compared with 3min 24sec taken by Cassius and Paper Clip. Not Ridden Ont Renway. which was at a disadvantage in the weights, joined in at the sod wall and was not ridden out at the finish. Over the sarrie ground Cassius (B. P. Kennedy) and Paper Clip (R. O. Cairns), finished two lengths clear of Silver String (B N. Blair). Cascalho (T. McCutcheon), which joined in at the first sod wall, was eased up after the last fence. Delarmo (B. N. Blair) started his school from the sod wall and he made light of his task over the six fences. Sydtrev (J. D. Pankhurstl gave his usual brilliant display over six fences on the steeplechase schooling course. Lucky Bin <B N. Blair' revelled in his task over four fences.
