UNVEILING MEMORIAL
R.S.A. Members For Athens A member of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association will attend an unveiling of a war memorial commemorating members of armed services who died in Greece or Crete, in Athens on May 10. The memorial will be unveiled by the Duke of Gloucester. Lord Freyberg and the senior liaison officer in London (Brigadier R. C. Queree) will represent New Zealand at the ceremony with eight other ranks from New Zealand, including six from the Army and one each from the Navy and Air Force, and up to nine members of the New Zealand R.S.A. The members from the R.S.A. who attend will be required to pay their hotel and incidental expenses but will be flown to and from Athens in Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft.
