Varied Activities During Year The activities of the St Albans sub-centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society over the last year have included assisting with the Good Neighbour Service •he street appeal and market. visiting 100 per cent disabled men. visiting elderly patients at Burwood Hospital and mending linen at Rannerdale Hospital, says the subcentre’s annual report. Donations have been made to the Agadir and Chile earthquake relief funds, the emergency fund of the North Canterbury centre of the Red Cross Society, and Christmas parcels for patients a* Rannerdale and Burwood Hospitals Members met during the year to make tovs for the street appeal and market, and •he Christchurch Cathedra’ Chr’stmas tree Officers elected were: President. Mrs W W Bunt; vicepresidents. Mesdames W Beanland. D A Smart. L. ” Gain, and Miss T Hagen: secretary. Mrs E. C Colvilk: treasurer. Mrs W K»etleyjunior liaison officer Miss S Saunders: sales table. Miss T Hagen (convener), and Mesdames L. Williams and E Mansell. Girls’ Nautical Training Conn.— A talk on his experiences as the captain of the baraue Pamir was given bv Cantain A. R. Champion harbourmaster at Lyttelton at the recent annual meeting of the Girls’ Nautical Training Corps h»ld at H.M.N.Z.S Pegasus Members elected to executive positions on the committee were:—President Mr E. R. Pate: secretary, Mr S. Rov: treasurer, Mr L. H Trebilcock.
