Halberg Laps Japanese For Win In 3000 Metres

TOKYO. March 18. M. Halberg, of New Zealand, today won the 3000 metres race at Japan's first international indoor athletic meeting In Tokyo. Halberg's time was Bmin 7sec Halberg, who won a gold medal in the 5000 metres al the Rome Olympics, lapped four Japanese who ran with him on the 133.33-metre course in the metropolitan gymnasium.
