Kastanea May Win At Oamaru Today
•The Press" Special Service OAMARU, March 19. Kastanea in the Gardiner Memorial and Bellarook in the Elderslie Handicap may be the winning double at Oamaru tomorrow when the Oamaru Jockey Club will conclude its autumn meeting. Kastanea came from the rear of the field on Saturday to finish third in the Oamaru Cup. Personify and Studio (second and first in the cup) will also come in for support.
Newcomers to the meeting, Valaris. Mighty Son and Cornflake, will add interest to the event Bellarook won the sprint so impressively on the first day that he looks capable of making another bold effort in the six furlong event. Page Boy is a better galloper than his performance on Saturday would suggest and he is not likely to be neglected in the betting. The weather has been fine and the prospects are that the track will be in splendid order. Riding engagements include: B J. Anderton: English Prince, Lightning Girl. Ocean Melody. R N.
