FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anticyclone is moving into New Zealand from the Tasman Sea. A trough of low pressure is moving eastwards across the south-west Tasman. Forecast: Nelson and Marlborough.—Fine, with moderate temperatures; north to north-west winds developing and becoming fresh or strong later about the Sounds. Outlook: partly cloudy. West Coast.—Fine, with light winds at first but north-westerly winds developing and becoming fresh later in the day; moderate temperatures. Outlook: rain developing. Canterbury.—Moderate north-east winds about the coast; variable inland; fine with moderate temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
