Rusk To Attend S.E.A.T.O,

The United States Secretary of State (Mr Dean Rusk) will attend the Ministerial Council meeting of the South-east Asia Treaty Organisation in Bangkok on March 27, the White House announced today. For the last two weeks the Kennedy Administration has been debating whether the Secretary of State should attend the S.E.A.T.O. session. Today’s announcement highlighted the President’s concern over developments in Laos, according to diplomatic observers.
