PLASTIC TANKS FOR FOREST FIRE-FIGHTING.-—One of the 20 flexible plastic containers, manufactured in Britain, which the New Zealand Forest Service has ordered for fighting fires in remote areas. It is shown mounted on the back of a truck. The tanks, which carry up to 250 gallons of water, fit easily into standard vans or trucks. Filling takes 1min 23sec. When empty, the container can be rolled into a compass of 9in. The rolled container and its valve weigh only 30lb.
