"The Press*’ Special Service AUCKLAND, Feb. 10. Two motor-cyclists who carried toll money in their mouths and spat it at the collecting officer on duty had been dealt with by the Auckland Harbour Bridge Authority, the bridge superintendent, Mr D. G. MacPherson, said in his report to a meeting of the authority. One motor-cyclist carried
the toll charge in a matchbox in his mouth and spat the whole lot at the officer, Mr MacPherson said. “He has now abandoned the practice because on one occasion the matchbox was accidentally pushed back into his mouth.”
