Scottish Light For Otaki Cup Tonight
The unbeaten four-year-old, Scottish Light, is almost sure to be the favourite in the Otaki Cup, the main event and first leg of the double on the first night of the Otaki Trotting Club's meeting at Hutt Park this evening. Scottish Light’s hardest opponent may be the Belfast gelding Ballista. Ballista has won his last two starts, and the last was a convincing victory over two miles at Marlborough. Cushie Doo Sally Peterson and Lynwood Earl are other form runners.
The second leg will be the Horowhenua Handicap, in which
Happy Hunting, Nevan and Cushie Doo are a likely trio. Unless the weather deteriorates the track will be flrm. Selections:— 7 p.m.—Frank Shaw Handicap: Our Eileen. Invade.
