80 p.c. Acceptance With Week To Go | Acceptances so far received | from ordinary shareholders of John Bulleid and Company. Ltd., old-established drapers, furnishers and electrical retail-
ers. by Hay's, Ltd., Christchurch department store, already total approximately 80 per cent. Announcing this last evening a Hay's spokesman said the offer still had a week to run “The final date of the offer is February 17,” he said. Hay's offer to Bulleid ordinary shareholders is for two Hay's 10s ordinary shares for every three, Bulleid shares, plus 3s fid cash. Insurance Company T akeovers Gray Dawes. Westray and Company. Ltd.. London, has taken over the insurance businesses of Gray. Dawes and Company. J B Westray and Company, and Anderson, Green and Company. Ltd . according to an announcement from J B Westray and Company. The remaining businesses of these three companies will be continued as before. J B Westray and Company. (New Zealand). Ltd. which is a subsidiary of the above company. will in future conduct its business in London through that new company The name of the New Zealand company will not be changed. O.T.D. Final Dividend.—The director.- of the Otago Daily Times and Witness Newspapers Company. Ltd., have recommended payment of a final dividend of 9d per share for the year ended January 31, 1961, plus a bonus of 9d per share in recognition of 100 years of continuous publication .of the “Otago Daily Times.” The dividend will bte payable on March 6—(P.A.) Philip Morris Sales.—Sales of Philip Morris (Aust.), Ltd, cigarette maker. Melbourne, reached new peaks for the half-year ended December 31, but profits were lower. Profit is, given in the interim report ab £102,205. which compares with £122,509 for the previous corresponding half-year and £231.111 for the full year to June 30 last
