"MOSSVALE” RUN

Private Sale At Timaru (N Z Press Association) TIMARU, February 10. Failing to reach the reserve figure. “Mossvale,” an Albury sheep run of 2578 acres lease in perpetuity and 51 acres freehold, with buildings, offered as a going concern on account of the estate of the late Peter Kidd, was passed in at £23.350 at public auction in Timaru today. But the auctioneers advised later that the property was sold by private treaty “at an enhanced figure.” The property was purchased by D. M. and M. D. Ross, of Athol, Southland. “Mossvale” had been in the Kidd family for 70 years. The run, which has not been worked to capacity for 25 years, carries 1000 mixed age Romney cross ewes, 350 hoggets. 150 wethers and rams.
