The Interim Council has recently appointed to the Chair of Economics Professor Donald Cochrane of the University of Melbourne. It is the University’s intention to establish and maintain conditions favourable to the prosecution of research by all academic staff members. Salary scales: Senior Lecturer, £A2480/100/2950; Lecturer £ A1660/100/2360; with provision for superannuation on the F.S.S.U. basis.
