Three Months’ Gaol For Assault
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND. Feb. 10.
Peter Purchase, aged 33, a carpenter, who threatened to kill his wife and child on the night of February 1, was sent to gaol for three months by Mr R. M. Grant, SAI., in the Auckland Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Purchase appeared for sentence on two charges—one of assaulting a police constable. George Henry Engel, in the execution of his duty, and another of assaulting his wife, Maureen Phyllis Purchase.
