CAR HITS POLE
Three men suffered injuries when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a pole at the corner of Bamford street and Ferry road about midnight. The car was described by police as a writeoff. A Post Office letter box on the pole was smashed in. The men are Paul Edgar Brady, of 10 Wiggins street; Ronald John Blair, the driver, of 7 Clifton Spur. Sumner; and Norman Tennent. of 311 Burwood road. The men were taken by ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital.
