Aircraft Still Missing

The fate of the missing Dakota aircraft with 28 person* aboard is still unknown after six days’ continuous search by Indonesian warship* and Air Force aeroplane*. The Dakota, belonging to the State-owned Garuda Indonesian Airways, vanished on the morning of February 3 on a flight from Sourabaya in East Java, to Balikpapan, in East Borneo. The aircraft had a five-man crew and 21 passengers, including three European* and four Indonesian Army officer*.
