Queensland Brewery To Give Reasons
Queensland Brewery, Ltd., directors will give detailed reasons for their recommendation of the Carlton and United Breweries, Ltd., take-over offer to shareholders, the chairman, Mr D. Wadley, said today. The directors’ reasons will be sent out at the same time as the Carlton and United formal offer to Queensland Brewery shareholders, which is expected by next week.
N.Z. Forests Offer.—The offer made by New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd., to the ordinary shareholders of Whakatane Board Mills, Ltd., expires on February 15 and all acceptances to be valid must be in not later than that date.—(PA.)
