A trust fund to be established for the purposes of St. Mary's Church, Merivale. has been provided for in the will of ' Mrs Sarah Georgina Weathered, a widow, of Christchurch, who died on December 23. last
Mrs Wethered’s estate has been granted probate at less than £5OOO for duty purposes On the expiry of a life interest in the net income of the residual estate, the whole of the estate is to be transferred to the Chureh Property Trustees of the Diocese of Christchurch as a trust, the net income of which is to be used by the vicar and churchwardens of St. Mary's. Mrs Wethered, in her will, requests that the. fund shall be referred to in the records of St Mary's. Merivale. as the Mary Weathered Trust Fund.
