BELGIAN UNIONS SUPPORTED
“The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. Jan. 24 A special meeting of the national executive of the Feck eratlon of Labour carried a resolution calling on the executive committee of the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions to support the Belgian Federation of Labour in its fight against the Belgian Government’s policy of “placing the burden of Belgium’s economic difficulties on the wage and salary earners.” The secretary (Mr K. McL. Baxter) said he -was also authorised to convey congratulations to the British Trade Union Congress for the international trade union solidarity displayed by the trade unions of the United Kingdom in granting an £BO.OOO loan free of interest to the Belgian Federation of Labour for the relief of the distressed victims of the Belgian Government’s policy.
