A golf club, at Scarsdale. New York, which barred a young man from a Christmas dance because he was Jewish, said yesterday members could bring anyone to the club as guests in future.
A young girl cancelled her debut at the club after club officials termed her escort, the son of a Jewish father and a Roman Catholic mother, unacceptable^l A minister barred from Holy Communion the members of his Protestant Episcopal congregation who had sanctioned the ban. The club's official bulletin said it was apparent that there existed “considerable confusion” with respect to the .guest privileges of club mem. bers. Members were entitled to entertain any guests or friends.
