Fewer Deaths On British Roads

LONDON, December 26 Britain’s intensive “If You Drink, Don’t Drive" campaign seems to be reflected in a big drop in road deaths during the Christmas period. The Christmas Day death toll fell by more than a third to 20. Last year 34 died. The total death toll for December 23, 24, and 25, was 89. There were no deaths in Scotland on Christmas Day. No figures have yet been issued for today.
