Timber Stack, Truck Damaged

A summer-house was destroyed by fire a» 32 Kotare street, the property of Mr L. Loveridge, about 9.15 a.m. yesterday. The fire was attended by one unit from the Sockburn fire station. At 11.11 a.m. a unit from the Central station and a unit from the Sydenham station were sent to a fire in rubbish at 75 Aynsley terrace, the property of F. G. Ullrich. There was no damage. A fire on the property of Ventube Manufacturers, Ltd., 5 Opawa road, damaged part of a stack of timber and badly damaged a pre-war truck about 4.24 p.m. The fire was extinguished by one unit from the Central station and one from the Sydenham station. A grass fire beside the railway line near Raycfoft street about 5.58 p.m. was extinguished without damage by one unit from the Sydenham station.
