ROMNEY RAM SALE

Twenty-five stud rams averaged 122}gns and 884 flock rams averaged 19}gns at the tenth annual sale of Romney rams held on account of Mr H. B. Johnston, Kamano stud, Cheltenham, Feilding. Purchases were made for North Island districts and Southland. The top price of 300gns was realised twice. It was paid by Mr F. N. H. Beamish, of Hastings, and Messrs G- and T. Levett, of Wellsford, for two singles in the strong wool section. The 15 singles in this section averaged 137Jgns. Top price in the pens of four was also obtained in this section. Mr R. J. Davies, of Te Kuiti, paid Signs and Mr T. B. Nesdale, of Folding, 52gns. Mr R, H Ellison, of Takapau, purchased three at 55gns and two at 45gns. The sale was held by Dalgety and Company, the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Distributing Company, Ltd., the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd.
