CHRISTMAS SHOPPING BY CHILDREN.—Thirty-five children from the Methodist Orphanage and Children’s Home, Papanui went shopping yesterday. They were accompanied by 14 wives of members of the Christchurch Junior Chamber. Each child had 15s to spend on presents for others, the money being provided by offending motorists during the chamber’s parking-meter campaign. This photograph shows Mrs M. R. Good with three of the children.
