Brief Comment By Mr Holyoake
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 15.
“I am surprised that he paints such a gloomy picture of the state of our finances after three years of administration by the Labour Government,” was the brief comment of the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake), at his press conference tonight, on the prediction of the president of the Federation of Labour (Mr F. P. Walsh) that a developing balance-of-payments crisis would bring unemployment by June.
