TELEVISION IN AUCKLAND
Daily Programmes Planned "The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON, Dec. 15. The new Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Kinsella) has announced that from January 1, Channel 2, Auckland, will begin telecasting seven nights a week. The additional programmes will raise the total weekly telecasting hours from 12| to 16, and will mean an increase in the yearly television licence fee of from £4 to £6 10s. Hours for Channel 2 transmission will be from January 1 from 7 p.m. until 9.30 pjn. from Mondays to Fridays, from 7 p.m. until 10.30 pin. on Saturdays, and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sundays.
