ELECTION COUNTS COMPLETED
Eastern Maori Scat Final Result (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 14. The final counts in the 1960 General Election have been completed and the result for the eightieth electorate, Eastern Maori, was announced this morning. The result was: M. Carter (Independent Maori Movement), 191. T. Omana (Labour) 5809. A. Reedy (Social Credit) 2784. H. R. Vercoe (National) 2496. Majority for Omana 3025; election night majority 2707; 1957 Labour majority 4197.
