Mulley Fined £25
SYDNEY, December 14. The stewards fined the jockey Athol Mulley £25 for having accepted two rides in the Second Maiden Handicap at Canterbury today. The chief steward (Mr Jack Bourke) said Mulley had been fined for a similar offence as far back as November, 1955, and late as last August. He warned Mulley that he would consider suspending him if it occurred again. Mulley had accepted rides on Baron Cortauld and Sweet Helen. The stewards ruled that Mulley was to ride Sweet Helen, which ran second in the event.
