Liquor With Meals
One hotel in Auckland, the Hotel de Brett, has extended the hours in which liquor is supplied in the dining room. A representative of the company said that the extended service would test public demand for other facilities. The Licensing Amendment Act, which became law on October 28, permits hotels to serve liquor with meals until 11.30 p.m. Previously, liquor could not be served with meals after 8 p.m. The hotel has been providing extended meal service.
