N.Z. AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION
A silver star award for meritorious service to the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Air Force Association was presented to a woman member of the association at a function in the National Party rooms on Saturday evening. She is Miss J. Palmer, who has been a foundation member of the Christchurch branch, which was formed in 1945. She had been an executive member since then, and has served on the social committee since 1950, being social convener for the last two years For the last four years Miss Palmer has been a branch vicepresident, representing women ■members. The presentation was made by the president of the Christchurch branch of the New Zealand Air Force Association (Mr R. E. Clark).
