Misson, yesterday scored a half century as opening batsman for New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Misson and W. Saunders opened the New South Wales second innings in the Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia. Misson's 50' included four boundaries and took 108 minutes. It gave him an impressive double for the day. He took two quick wickets in his first three overs yesterday morning to start Western Australia's decline. • At stumps New South Wales, which scored 154 runs in the first innings was six for 196 in reply to Western Australia’s first innings score of 233. Buller To Be Paid For Missed Test (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 9. The test umpire S. Buller, centre of the “throwing" controversy during the South African tour last season, is to be paid for the test he missed, the M.C.C. announced today. Buller should have officiated in the fourth test, but he was withdrawn when the South Africans objected to him after the no-balling Incidents at Lord's with their fast bowler, Griffin. Under a new ruling announced today, an umpire prevented or debarred from standing in any test for which he is appointed, at the discretion of the umpires’ committee. will receive full pay for the match. The rule is restrospective to the start ot the 1960 season. «
