YOUNGEST TEAM IN YEARS

Auckland’s Plunket Shield Side (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 11. The Auckland cricket selectors held to their declared policy of naming only in-form players when they announced their 13-strong team for the first two representative matches of the season—against the M.C.C. tourists and the Plunket Shield match against Northern Districts. The team is: A. Clark (captain), D. Andersen, R. Morgan. P. McGregor, E. Giles, J. Sparling, R., Cunls, J. Marsdon, G. Gedye, K. Deas, R. Tovey, J. Kemp, and B. Norman. The team is the youngest to represent Auckland for several years. It looks strong in batting, but the bowling is rather suspect.
