TRUCKS COLLIDE NEAR REEFTON
Elderly Man Suffers Head Injuries (From Our Own Reporter) REEFTON, December 11. Three men were injured—one seriously—when two trucks collided on the Reefton-Lewis Pass highway at 4 p.m. on Friday. The injured are: William Mason, aged 81, of Balelutha, a passenger in a light truck driven by his son. Robert William Mason. He suffered severe head injuries and is now in the Grey Hospital, where his condition is reported as serious. George Edward Monroe, of Paisley street, Balclutha, a passenger in the same vehicle, suffered a lacerated scalp and fractured knee-cap. He was admitted to the Reefton Hospital, where his condition is reported as satisfactory. Joseph Neville Clark, of Rahu. the driver of the other truck, suffered minor injuries. He was admitted to the Reefton Hospital, where his condition was reported as satisfactory. Clark’s wife and six-year-old son, who were passengers, were not hurt
