Swimming N.Z. Junior Backstroke Record Equalled
(New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, Dec. 9. Swimming alone in time trials conducted by the Bay of Plenty Swimming Centre, G. Garlick last night returned a time of 68_5sec for the 100 yards backstroke. There is no presept holder for the New Zealand junior record. Garlick’s time equals lan Burrows’s New Zealand record for boys under 14 years, which he set in 1958.
