Cashmere High School

In the last five years the school had grown to a stage where it could take its place with pride among the older schools of Christchurch, said the headmaster (Mr T. H. McCombs) when he presented his annual report at the prize-giving of the Cashmere High School in the Civic Theatre yesterday morning. For the first time the school had a full range of classes from third to upper sixth forms and, at the end of this year, the last large group of first-day pupils would leave the school. “In a sense, today marks the coming-of-age of the school,” said Mr McCombs.
