Eight of 38 new taxi licences granted by the Auckland Metropolitan Licensing Authority recently were revoked by the Transport Appeal Authority (Judge K. G. Archer) today.
At the same time, Judge Archer granted 24 new licences to persons who appealed against the decision of the Metropolitan Authority to restrict the issue of new licences to 38 and to the granting of them to certain individuals.
